An athletic coach, a nutritionist, the Military Fire Brigade (GSPM), agents from the National Social Insurance Fund (CNPS) and our Health and Safety at Work Committee (CSST) were all present.
Their presentations were followed by a buffet made up of simple and healthy snacks. The menu included fresh vegetables, fruits and fruit smoothies.
Each of the speakers sensitised the audience on various topics and techniques such as:
- How to use fire extinguishers to put out house fires
- First-aid techniques to assist conscious and unconscious victims, such as placing them in a lateral position, providing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, performing CPR, tourniqueting and clearing respiratory airways in children and adults (GSPM).
- Ergonomics, i.e. the importance of maintaining good posture at work to ensure proper support to the spine;
- Stress management, through athletic activities such as stretching and yoga;
- Nutritional consultations for a balanced diet;
- Presentations by the CNPS on the importance of respecting safety measures at work and the role of the CNPS in the life of the worker.
